of the ministry experienced the infilling (baptism) of the Holy Spirit in 1963 that they began seeing a tremendous growth in the ministry.  At that time, local churches were launched into an all out revival that lasted more than 14 years. Some scholars have called the "Silent Revival", the revival that has greatly impacted the whole Latin American continent.
 
 
Much of the growth of the ministry can be accredited to the new influence of the Norman Jr. and his wife Betty, who had just returned to the field after a few years in Bible School.  They dedicated themselves to church planting and building a network of ministers.

they studied Spanish, they we lead by the Holy Spirit to move to Colombia.  In Colombia they spent 12 years planting churches and ministering.  They were some of the most difficult years, since Colombia was considered an extreme Catholic stronghold.  Christians were persecuted openly and brutally.  After the twelve years there, Norman Sr. and Leila were lead of God to move to Guatemala, leaving a strong ministry in Colombia.  Unfortunately, they were not able to take care of those churches, so they decided to turn them over to national ministries.  Presently, some of those churches that were planted by the Parishes are still ministering to their communities.
 
 
In 1948 the Parish family moved to Guatemala, where they begun a completely new ministry.  During the first years, a few churches were planted in mainly rural areas.  It was until a large proportion
